Runway Wrap
Paris Fashion Week Spring 2014 was full of drama on and off the runway. The shows, as always, were spectacular but the collections were topped with the resignation of Creative Director of Louis Vuitton – the iconic Marc Jacobs. After receiving a standing ovation for his final Louis Vuitton runway, Marc announced to the crowd that he would be leaving the label to focus on his own brand. Nicolas Ghesquière, the former Creative Director of Balenciaga, is rumoured to be the front-runner for the top job. But, enough gossip, here’s our runway wrap of the best trends for every woman with drive.
1. The Tunic
The perfect go-to item in any fashion crisis that’s always on trend. A tunic dress will come in handy for nearly any occasion and can be easily transformed from street style to runway chic. Grace has a simple yet elegant shift-shaped dress that comes in a super stylish three-tone colour fabric.

2. The Trumpet Skirt
This style shows off your derriere so make sure you’re comfortable with your curves. Be sure to keep the top half simple and tapered at the waist, make sure it’s nothing loose or untucked. English designer Matthew Williamson’s take on this must-have piece features striped paneling that creates graphic chevrons and will take you from the office to into the night. Their trumpet skirt is a modern classic with an elegant silhouette.

3. The Tailored Pant
A great pair of pants will go all the way from day to night. Wear with a casual t-shirt and great wedges during the day for a cool summer chic look. Or dress-up at night with some killer stilettos and a silk shirt. We love the silk lace pant by Zimmermann. The lace panel down the side is subtle yet adds some glamour to a plain pant.

4. The Shirt Dress
A sleeveless shirt-dress is an easy summertime essential. Wear with a stylish sandal for a luxe beach look or go from beach glam to city chic with a pair of wedges or heels. Diane Von Furstenburg is the queen of dresses and of course has the perfect shirt with endless possibilities.
5. The A-line Short
Now that the weather is warming up, it’s the perfect time to bare your legs and show some skin. Denim shorts can quickly go amiss; so opt for this season’s must-have short style. A-line shapes give a sophisticated edge to a casual short and the wide leg will enhance your womanly curves. Cue have some ultra chic shorts that work perfectly with the monochrome trend this season.
