Maria Sharapova’s Porsche
Maria Sharapova has added yet another skill to her CV. This time, the tennis megastar showed off her keen eye for design, by unveiling her very-own customised Porsche.
To coincide with her visit to the Winter Olympics in her hometown of Sochi, global Porsche Ambassador Maria Sharapova presented her personally designed Porsche: the Panamera GTS “by Maria Sharapova“. Created to Maria’s exact specifications, this one of a kind Panamera is a prime example of how a model with exclusive options can transform into a masterpiece.
“Creating and specifying a very personal Porsche Panamera was such an exciting undertaking. It opens the door to a whole new design sensibility and allowed me to bring my own personal aesthetic. I count myself not only as an athlete, but also as a designer – I’ve designed full collections of luxury accessories, apparel, and even candy for years,” said Sharapova. “I never thought I would have the opportunity to add a car – especially a Porsche – to that repertoire. It’s an ingenious melding of the design world with automotive personalization.”
The “by Maria Sharapova“ model exhibits a number of options available through the Porsche Exclusive range, a range that can help tailor a Porsche to anyone’s preferences or own design (just as Maria has been able to) no matter how unusual or imaginative the requirements might be.
The exterior of the “by Maria Sharapova“ Panamera GTS features a special gloss white body, off-set by a ferocious black LED Dynamic Headlight system with matching darkened brake lights. To compliment, the car sits on 20-inch black Panamera Sport wheels, black Sports exhaust system and all other exterior accents in black.
A full leather interior highlighted by cream and dark grey stitching welcomes you when opening the door and the instrument dials brighten the dash in the trademarked Porsche Carrera white. Panamera GTS stitching individualises the car by featuring on the centre console, and “Maria Sharapova“ is written on the carbon fibre doorsills.
The Porsche Panamera GTS has a 4.8 Litre V8 engine with 440 HP, and can accelerate from 0 – 100km/h in 4.4 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 288km/h. The perfect car, for a serious woman with drive.
