A woman with drive is intelligent, discerning, self-made and successful. She is a woman that inspires others and takes control of her own life. As a woman with drive, it’s important to celebrate other women that have made a difference in our lives and inspired us in some way.

International Women’s Day has been celebrated for over 100 years, and recognises the economic, political and social achievements of women. The first International Women’s Day was held in 1911 and the occasion is celebrated each year on March 8.

Organisations, Governments, charities, educational institutions, women’s groups, corporations and the media celebrate this special day and womanwithdrive.com.au is certainly happy to support this fabulous cause.

The theme for the 2014 International Women’s Day is ‘Inspiring Change’. While many thousands of events have marked the achievements of women in society, there are still plenty of areas that need further attention.

While women’s equality has evolved positively over the years and come a long way, unfortunately inequality still exists in the world. International Women’s Day is the pioneer for challenging the status quo for women’s equality and inspiring change in people’s beliefs and society.
