Get The Best Of Sydney’s Vivid Festival
Vivid Festival has lit up Sydney in the most creative and inspiring ways possible – from light installations and major projections scattered around the city, to talks and creative conferences. Now in its seventh year, Vivid is set to run from 22 May – 8 June. Here is our guide to planning and getting the most of your Vivid Festival Experience.
Alleyway Dining
Up for a bit of mystery? Lime & Tonic’s unique alleyway dining experience offers a bespoke three-course menu with wine pairings and live music in a historic Sydney alleyway. To top off the evening, you will be given exclusive access to a rooftop on the 31st floor with a stunning view of the harbour and the Vivid Festival. That is your whole night sorted out, we say!

Get Inspired
Along with spectacular light shows, Vivid Talks offer a range of creative conferences and exhibitions. Semi-Permanent will celebrate all things design over two days of presentations, exhibitions, screenings, workshops, installations and parties. Internationally renowned creative leaders will inspire creative minds with their ideas and insights. This year’s speakers include chef and founder of Momofuku David Chang, artist Ben Quilty, actor Noah Taylor and designer and illustrator Beci Orpin.

Up Close and Personal
One of the most exciting and major projections will be the Sydney Opera House’s Lighting the Sails. This year, the UK’s Universal Everything will create a new projection artwork that will light up the Sydney Opera House sails every night from 6pm onwards. Prepared to be transported back in time with Opera Bar’s retro style picnic setting and arcade games. This is likely to be the best seat in the house to get up close and personal for those perfectly square-framed Instagram shots.

Room With A View
If you prefer to soak up the light shows from the comfort of a swanky hotel room, you cannot go wrong with these picks. With breathtaking views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, location is everything at a time like this.
