5 Star Camping
Fortunately for us, the idea of camping no longer means wrangling to get a tent up, sleeping in the dirt and slaving over a campfire stove. Luxury camping, better known as ‘glamping’ is a travel trend that seems to be staying, and this is fine with us. Here is womanwithdrive.com.au’s update on some fabulous new destinations for a guaranteed 5 star camping holiday:
VIC- Happy Glamper
A totally genius holiday solution, that takes away all the hassle! Pick the destination you desire along the serene Mornington Peninsula and Happy Glampers will come and set up your luxury camping accommodation before you even arrive. The bohemian ‘Bell Tent’ includes a plush mattress with gorgeous quirky colourful linens, floor rugs, lanterns, power points (you can hire a bar fridge) and even magazines and board games to keep you entertained.
NSW- Paperbark Camp
Go on an Australian Bush safari with all of the luxuries of a five star hotel at Paperback Camp. Safari style tents are fringed with wide verandas and nestled among towering paperbark gums. Each tent features luxury bedding, private ensuites and endless tranquillity. The camp also provides complimentary bikes and canoes for the more adventurous.
QLD- Nightfall Wilderness Camp
The recently opened Nightfall Camp can be found beside the pristine Lamington National Park rainforests and is designed to nurture mind, body and soul. The very exclusive carbon neutral resort only accommodates six travellers at a time, creating an intimate atmosphere. Choose to stay secluded in your self-contained retreat or venture out to indulge in fire-cooked organic cuisine and explore the stunning surrounding wilderness.
WA- Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat
Tucked away just outside of Broome, Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat is everything glamping should be. Enjoy all of the joys of camping including stunning Kimberly scenery and wholesome activities such as fishing, hiking and whale watching. By night, retreat into the total luxury of your private safari eco-tent equipped with king sized bed and ensuite. Extra creature comforts also include an ocean view bar and restaurant, and an infinity pool.
NT- Longitude 131
Longitude 131 offers a truly unique ‘camping’ experience as the closest accommodation to Uluru. Dotted across waves of burnt red sand dunes, the resort’s 15 private tents command envious views of the World Heritage listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National park. Take time to explore the spirituality of the land by taking a customised tour or reflect on your inner spirituality at the Red Ochre Spa. This exceptional resort donates all of its profits back into Indigenous Land Corporation’s indigenous training and development across Australia.
